Smart Remote Labs ("we," "our," or "us") built the AruHome app as a Freemium application. This Service is provided by Smart Remote Labs and is intended for use as is.

This Privacy Policy explains our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for anyone using our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

AruHome is designed with a privacy-first and offline-first approach.

Local Data Storage

All data entered into the app—including asset details, photos, receipts, warranty information, maintenance schedules, and other home inventory information—is stored locally on your device. We do not host your personal home data on external servers. You are responsible for managing your own backups using the app's export features.

Third-Party Services

While we do not collect your personal data directly, the app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or provide app functionality.

• Google Play Services
  Used for app functionality, platform security, and device compatibility.
• Google Play Billing
  Used to process purchases of the Pro version. Payment information, including credit card details, is securely processed by Google. We do not access or store your payment information.
• Google AdMob
  Used to display rewarded advertisements in the free version. AdMob may collect information such as your advertising ID and device information to provide personalized or non-personalized advertisements.
• Google ML Kit
  Used for on-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to scan appliance labels, serial numbers, and other information. All image processing occurs locally on your device. Images are not uploaded to the cloud for processing.

2. Log Data

Whenever you use our Service, in the event of an app error, third-party services may automatically collect diagnostic information ("Log Data"). This information may include:

• IP address
• Device name and model
• Operating system version
• App configuration when the error occurred
• Date and time of use
• Diagnostic and crash information
• Other technical statistics

3. App Permissions

AruHome requests the following permissions to provide its features:

• Camera
  To capture photos of assets, receipts, appliance labels, and warranty documents.
• Photos / Storage
  To save and access images associated with your home inventory.
• Notifications
  To remind you of upcoming maintenance tasks, warranty expirations, inspections, and other scheduled events.
• Internet Access
  Required for Google Play Billing, rewarded advertisements, and other Google services.

4. Security

We value your trust in providing information through the app. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Because your home inventory data is stored locally on your device, its security also depends on your device's security, including screen lock protection, encryption, and physical access.

5. Children's Privacy

These Services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to remove such information where applicable.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are encouraged to review this page periodically for any changes. Any updates become effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
